Dressage & Combined Training

Pure Dressage is a Team competition and individual competition that is ridden in the larger arena (60 x 20). It is for anyone over 12 and for ponies and horses alike. To get to the festival you must qualify at your Area 3 qualifier that is run by the clubs in your area in July. The Dressage tests for these competitions are posted on the Irish Pony Club website or can be obtaiined from our representative.
Combined Training consists of Dressage and Equitation style jumping. It is an individual competition. As the Dressage, you must qualify at your Area qualifier. The under 12's don't qualify for the festival but have a competition at the Area qualifier. There is also a qualifier for the Combined Training competition at the RDS at Intermediate and Members level.

Area Combined Training and Showjumping Qualifiers
The Area 3 qualifier will be held in Geraldine Power's, Kilbride, Tramore on Saturday 17th July.
1. Combined Training (Dressage & Show Jumping) for individuals. We would encourage as many as possible to enter this event as it is open to all ages.
2. Show Jumping for Members, Intermediate and Junior/Robbie Bailey (teams of 4, under 14 on 1/1/10, max height 90cm)
3. Pure Dressage for both individuals and team.
Finals to be held at the IPC Festival, Mullingar Equestrian Centre. Dressage test sheets for this will be availalbe at Rallies & Camp. Anyone wishing to compete in any of these events MUST be available on 17th July for the qualifer and 28th/29th July for the festival. For this you must be C Test standard.
